Here’s a pic of me and my best friend. 😉

…Just kidding, although my computer and I have been somewhat inseparable, due to all the video editing I’ve been doing. :) I’ll be working on that up until my performance at Sweet Cece’s tonight! My Nashvillian friends should make a stop at the Sweet Cece’s in Green Hills tonight at 7pm; I will be there with my guitar. 😊 #musicmindy #videoediting #SweetCeces #MindyPerformance #GreenHills

As an art student, you’re hit over the head repeatedly with Renaissance art, so I’ve gotten a little tired of it, but something I’m not tired of is the seemingly impossible naturalistic detail attained from stone and a chisel back then.

look are we certain it wasn’t a Medusa situation, where Renaissance “sculptors” just went around turning people to stone? because that seems easier

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
― Albert Einstein

“Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.”
― G.K. Chesterton

“Fear isn’t so difficult to understand. After all, weren’t we all frightened as children? Nothing has changed since Little Red Riding Hood faced the big bad wolf. What frightens us today is exactly the same sort of thing that frightened us yesterday. It’s just a different wolf.”
― Alfred Hitchcock

“Deeper meaning resides in the fairy tales told to me in my childhood than in the truth that is taught by life.”
― Friedrich von Schiller
